After a year off for some strange reason, the Taste for Los Al will return this year — allowing many local restaurants to showcase their fare while raising dollars to support activities at Los Alamitos High School.
The Taste, which began in 2001, will again take place at The Shops at Rossmoor, on October 9, from 6pm to 10pm. In its first 19 years the event has raised almost $4 million to support the programs of over 25 Los Al High booster clubs and activities – from softball to show choir, baseball to band.
Over the past few years, the event has averaged around 40 restaurants providing food for 3,000 attendees.
